Gastonia FC are the seventh officially announced team for the Fall 2022 First Flight League season. They join previously announced clubs: AC Raleigh, Bragg FC, Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC, Greenville United, Le Riverry FC, and NC United FC.


About Gastonia FC


Being associated with the Striker of Gaston County, which is an all volunteer select soccer club, gives Gastonia FC roots that go deep in Gaston County's soccer history. Established in 2000, the Strikers have built a rich and honored tradition of investing in Gaston County's youth. Our mission is to offer a pathway for players to continue to play the "Beautiful Game" and give back to the community and share their passion through the game we all love: soccer


About First Flight League


The FFL launch in Spring 2021 and included teams across the state of North Carolina. FFL is a non-profit competitive adult developmental league with a focus on providing a club-first support network. Each club is individually owned and operated and is required to meet and maintain minimum standards.


FFL clubs are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds and the Carolinas Cup through the leagues affiliation with the North Carolina Adult Soccer Association (NCASA) and U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF).

About AC Raleigh


Athletic Club Raleigh was created to right the wrongs of the common soccer training company. Five co-owners that bring a wealth of diverse knowledge and expertise have invested their hard work into building something bigger than themselves; setting aside ego to bring top notch training together for any age, gender or skill level. Now, it is our job and goal to create that same sense of camaraderie and belief in you, our club, so that we can leave behind a legacy within the beautiful game.
