The First Flight League (FFL) is proud to announce a partnership with Icarus FC as the official uniform supplier for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Founded in 2017, Icarus FC provides clubs with bespoke custom soccer uniform options. Clubs looking to get away from the templated jerseys from big brands can get completely custom identities with Icarus FC. Since its inception, Icarus FC has provided completely bespoke looks for over 400 clients in the United States, Canada, and the UK.


With this new partnership with Icarus FC, the league will be able to provide member clubs awards, medals, and trophies for accomplishments in the coming season. Alongside this exciting partnership Icarus FC and FFL will be unveiling a limited edition league branded kit in the coming weeks. Proceeds from the sale of the kit will be used to sponsor under served youth players in our member club academies.

Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC is the fourth officially announced team for the 2021 First Flight League season. They join previously announced clubs: Lazers SC, United FC, and Atletico Olanchano FC. More Clubs will be officially announced in the coming days and weeks.


About Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC


Established in Devember of 2018 and winners of the 2019 UPSL Mid-Atlantic North title, Goldsboro strike Eagles serves Wayne County and the surrounding areas by making a professional and organized soccer experience accessible to anyone and everyone. Our name is based off of the club's unique ties to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, whose F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jets can be seen taking off and landing right over the club's stadium. We aspire to become a community oriented team and make our city proud on and off the pitch.


About First Flight League


The FFL will launch their inaugural season in Spring 2021 and currently includes nine teams across the state of North Carolina. FFL is a non-profit competitive adult developmental league with a focus on providing a club-first support network. Each club is individually owned and operated and is required to meet and maintain minimum standards.


FFL clubs are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds and the Carolinas Cup through the leagues affiliation with the North Carolina Adult Soccer Association (NCASA) and U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF).

About Atletico Olanchano FC


Atletico Olanchano FC was founded by Mario Lizardo, a native of the Olancho region in Honduras, in 2000. The team is based in Rose Hill, NC and has seen numerous successful seasons playing in local leagues throughout southeastern North Carolina and look forward to the opportunity to play at the state level. Olanchano features a roster mixed with experienced league players and local youth talent.
